How do we protect your information?
We implement a variety of security measures to maintain the safety of your personal information when you place an order or enter, submit, or access your personal information.
For online purchases completed on our Gifts section, we use PayPal as our payment processor. To complete an order, you are transferred from our website to PayPal secure server. All supplied sensitive/credit information is transmitted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology and then encrypted into the PayPal database. Payment data PayPal collects to complete an online purchase is not available to us. We are only provided with a report of the product purchased and the name and delivery address of the purchaser so we can ship the product. You can check-out through PayPal without a PayPal account.
After a transaction, your private information (credit cards, social security numbers, financials, etc.) will not be stored on our servers. We only store your name, billing / delivery addresses, and order history which you can access by logging into your account on the Kohnen’s Country Bakery website.
For contest entries and e-mail list management, we use Your Mailinglist Provider. Data collected for contest entries and subscription to our e-mail newsletter are stored in a database on Your Mailinglist Provider’s secure website servers.
You can register your e-mail address with our website if you would like to receive our e-mail newsletter. Information you submit on our website will not be used for this purpose unless you check the box “Add me to your e-mail list”.
This service provides a “double opt-in” feature that requires you to confirm your wish to submit your data. After you complete the form on our website, you will receive and e-mail sent to the address you provided. You must click a link in the e-mail to confirm your desire to provide your information. This prevents someone else from entering your data without your knowledge.
All communication we send utilizing your information submitted in this manner will include an unsubscribe option should you decide you no longer wish to receive our e-mails. In addition, there is an unsubscribe option on our website on the same form used to join originally. You can quickly locate it by following the unsubscribe link on our site map.
